They offer an incredible breakfast buffet that carries a $60 price tag but features everything you could imagine belongs on a $60 breakfast buffet.

Some of our favorite dishes include the fried chicken coated in mochi and cornflakes and the prime striploin with miso kabocha.

Nothing says “living resort life” like a lavish breakfast buffet. I’ve tried out most of them, and Ka’ana Kitchen at the Andaz Maui is my favorite breakfast buffet in Wailea (which makes it the best on Maui). It’s about $50/person (the going price), but I think they have the best offerings, best quality, and best service.

For more plantation-inspired cuisine, Ka‘ana Kitchen, inside the Andaz, is popular for both breakfast and dinner, where the chefs prepare food in an open-air kitchen you can see from your table. For breakfast, try the kalua pork Benedict with ponzu hollandaise, and for dinner, abalone risotto or tender wagyu beef cheeks.

At Monkeypod Kitchen, the Rollin’ Down the Street cocktail boasts a gin base, as opposed to tiki’s traditional rum roots. But the drink tastes as tropical as those concoctions from the 1940s, if not more so, thanks to the addition of housemade macadamia nut orgeat syrup, pineapple juice, lemon, and macadamia nuts.

You just can’t go wrong here with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean and a yummy breakfast menu. This Maui breakfast spot is unique as it features all farm-fresh Maui foods. From the meats to the produce, cheeses to cured fish and eggs, and baked goods to pastries, you will be delighted by a true Maui-born menu.

Even if you’re not staying at the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, breakfast at Ka’ana Kitchen is worth a visit. Most of the menu items are Maui-inspired, gourmet choices certain to please. There are tropical fruit breakfast bruschetta, poached eggs and sweet potato cake and water cress salad.

The focus is on local ingredients treated with fine dining flair. We love the ahi tataki which comes with lilikoi (passion fruit) and burrata. The signature watermelon salad is always on the menu, a refreshing classic with feta (from the Big Island!) and li hing mui dressing.

Don’t even think about calling this morning feast inside the Andaz Hotel a buffet. It’s true that familiar food islands present the goods, but the similarity ends there. Chefs stand by to craft omelets, griddle pancakes, and otherwise answer every whim with incredible eats.

If you read our previous Maui food blog you saw that the Andaz breakfast buffet was up there with my favorite breakfast of the trip. And yep, it was at the top of my list of things to do during this trip too. And yep, it was just as good as I remembered.

Found one floor down from the front desk, Ka’ana Kitchen is the main dining area open for breakfast. They also have a dinner menu, but we didn’t try it for dinner. The price of the breakfast buffet is $49/adult or $24.50/child.

It is one of the best hotel restaurants in all of Maui, Hawaii. The menu features an array of Hawaiian and American-style dishes. Each is cooked with a unique, authentic twist from island native Issac Bancaco.

Very close to Mokapu Beach is Maui’s amazing Ka’Ana Kitchen. This humble spot is the place in the islands to get some great fried chicken. It’s moist inside, crunchy outside, and totally addictive.

Enjoy a relaxed vibe with great options for breakfast and a refreshing atmosphere that keeps you coming back for more. Gluten free food is really good for breakfast. Good coffee and atmosphere.
