"I love the food in this casual looking upscale restaurant.
We were a little late for our reservation but the hostess sat us immediately. Our server was attentive and made good recommendations.
The drinks were cold and refreshing. The hamachi crudo and crispy squash blossoms were good starters. The rosemary bread was just ok. The star of the meal were the black truffle mafalda and the gnocchi with lobster. The plates were huge and we ate only half of food.
This is a nice place to visit when in Maui. Come hungry!"

First up, there’s the new Olivine restaurant, right off the pool. The Italian restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and for an “intermezzo” time from 3-5pm, but is far more upscale than the usual poolside fare, serving oysters, wood-oven pizza and delicious pastas.
Dining at Grand Wailea
We booked a reservation on OpenTable for 5:30pm but they happily seated us at 5:00pm. Olivine is located right above the pool activity desk in the adults-only pool area. If I’m being honest, it seems like an odd place to place the restaurant.

Olivine, with its focus on coastal Italian cuisine, was an unexpected delight. We were glad we decided to share the rich and flavorful cacio e pepe and the Kula squash blossom, both of which were excellent.
