One of the best places to eat (like really eat) is TMACS located in the heart of downtown Walla Walla. This chic, metropolitan restaurant is famous for its unique culinary creations and an upscale (yet laid back and inviting) atmosphere. We were lucky to have the tasting menu which featured items not currently on the menu so I can’t give you any recommendations.

TMACS is owned by Walla Walla native Tom Maccarone, who previously owned T.Maccarone’s, an Italian joint inspired by his mother’s kitchen. In 2019, Tom moved the restaurant to a mixed-use building off Coville Street, where it was renamed to TMACS.

A gorgeous interior and super fun patio make TMACs a great place for date night or a girl’s night out (it’s also my go-to lunch spot in town). You’ll find beautiful, thoughtful, and delicious cocktails and a chef-driven menu (and everything I’ve had is delicious). My favorite thing on the menu right now is the seared ahi.

TMACS – The space (an old car dealership) and decor are simple amazing. Intimate setting with perfect lighting, vibrant food and a fantastic outdoor patio makes TMACS one of the hottest places in town to dine. The adjacent market is also amazing, great place to go shopping for a picnic or pick up a gift.

This downtown fixture, founded by local boy Tom Maccarone, features pastas, steaks and salads, plus sandwiches for lunch. The dishes are approachable and prepared well. Although the restaurant is named after the owner, not a dish, it does serve mac and cheese.

Definitely get dinner at TMACS – Chef’s farm to table culinary experience shines with every plate. Craft cocktails and even their own label of wine is guarantee of a VERY good time and happy bellies all around. This place is such a vibe!
