What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
2Fifty Texas BBQ is lauded for its authentic, tender, and flavorful Texas-style barbecue, especially the Wagyu brisket and unique sides. While the meat is a consistent hit, some diners found certain sides like cornbread and mac & cheese to be just average. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere contribute to a positive dining experience, though be prepared for potential lines and limited seating. [^data, ^R1, ^R2, ^R3]
"Very tender, fall-off-the-bone brisket. The brisket isn't too fatty, but it's also not overly seasoned. I recommend letting it sit in your fridge overnight, so the juices settle, and eating it the next day to get a real idea of how tasty it is. The caramelized pineapple have a delicious, unique, smoky, bourbon taste. The coleslaw is sweet and juicy. The cornbread is not good (it tastes like pure cane sugar), but that's okay. The mango tiramusu--didn't care for the coffee topping, but the mango puree was refreshing and decent. The macaroni doesn't taste homemade and isn't baked, but it's safe for many palettes to enjoy."

"We pulled up about 10 minutes before they opened on a Saturday and there wasn’t too bad of a line (we were probably 6th or 7th in line). We ordered the Wagyu brisket (of course) and the half duck which was one of the daily specials. We also got the pineapple ribs, the cornbread, and the corn salad. The Wagyu brisket was fantastic and really did take me back to my trip to Austin with the smokiness and fatty flavor of the brisket. The spicy bbq sauce paired perfectly with it, especially the cuts with a lot of bbq bark. The half duck was delightfully juicy and seasoned really well. Corn salad was probably the surprise delight of the meal, really well balanced and just a hint of spicy. The pineapple ribs stood out for their fantastic flavor, smokiness and sweetness. We will be back for the Dino ribs."

"The real deal. Reminds me of famous Franklin's BBQ in Austin Texas. Their Wagu Brisket and "Dino" Beef Rib is as good as BBQ gets. Great sides. Atmosphere is Texas casual. Service is friendly and in a standard format for Texas BBQ. I'm going to take guests from out of town here. It's not cheap, but for the highest quality BBQ, it's good value."
