What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Buccan is lauded for its consistently outstanding and imaginative global cuisine, impeccable service, and lively atmosphere. Diners rave about signature dishes like short rib empanadas and sweet corn agnolotti, alongside creative small plates and cocktails. While reservations can be hard to secure and the restaurant can be noisy at peak times, the overall experience is considered exceptional and worth the effort.
"Our server Chris was great from start to finish. He gave some great recommendations on what dishes we should try since it was our first time there. We loved the small plates concept and being able to share and taste a bunch of dishes. The short rib empanadas…. all I can say is WOW!
Every dish was thoughtfully crafted, with flavors that complemented each other beautifully. Each bite was a perfect balance of richness, freshness, and seasoning — you could really tell the ingredients were high quality and handled with care. The flavor pairings were creative yet comforting, making every course exciting without being overwhelming. It was such a great experience we came back two days later to do it all over again!"

"Could rave about Buccan for days but I’ll try to keep it short. Absolute favorite restaurant of all time. Never had even a ‘good’ bite of food here because everything is fantastic, marvelous, delicious, words don’t even do the meals here justice. Service is always excellent too, waiters are always considerate with how they time your entrees coming out! I am from the west coast of Florida and every time I come to Palm beach I love to try new places but this spot is consistently a repeat for me because they have such good variety of food and it is always fantastic. I think about it all the time and I leave here with a smile on my face because the food is just that amazing. Last time I tried the duck thinking I wouldn’t like it because I don’t usually like duck, and it was delicious!"
Jen Pandora
"I came here to celebrate my birthday and also for the experience of trying new flavors, and it was exactly what I hoped for. The food was absolutely delicious, and the waiter’s recommendations were spot on. Everything we ordered was so flavorful and beautifully presented. Overall we had an amazing time and it made my birthday really special. I would definitely come back."

Like chef-owner Clay Conley's other spots, the food here is hearty, unfussy yet sophisticated, and wonderfully balanced, from the curry cauliflower hummus to the hand-rolled macaroni with Florida rock shrimp and fennel.

At first, Buccan branded itself as a “progressive American grill,” but as busy months turned into years, the restaurant’s culinary approach defied any such categorization.
