What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sant Ambroeus Palm Beach is praised for its elegant ambiance, impeccable service, and delicious Milanese-inspired cuisine, with many highlighting the exquisite bakery selection and signature dishes like the Tartufa Pizza. While generally a hit, some diners have found certain dishes to be underwhelming for the price, and the occasional service lapse has been noted, though these are exceptions to an otherwise highly regarded dining experience.
"A very classy Italian spot with a few beautiful locations. The Palm Beach one is perfect for a special occasion or date night under the stars in the Poinciana Plaza. We typically order the specials of the night, as there are always a wide variety of different tasty dishes to share, but you can’t go wrong with most of the menu. We never leave without ordering the Tartufa Pizza and truffle creamed corn. We also adore their bakery selection including the Princess cake as well as their Hazelnut & Chocolate. Definitely worth trying at least once! An experience I always look forward to."

"It’s not often that you get what you pay for, but St Ambrose offers that. The atmosphere is wonderful. I feel as if I’m on the Italian Riviera as I sip my fabulous coffee and nibble on a delicious apricot croissant 🥐. My coffee and croissant cost around $14, which is great value. Dinner can cost between $36-$70 a meal. The staff are so helpful and friendly. I’m never disappointed here. They also have locations in Manhattan"

"Absolutely Wonderful Experience!
I had the pleasure of dining here recently and everything was simply perfect. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and beautifully set — the kind of place where you can truly relax and enjoy your time.
But what really made the evening special was our waitress, Lucia. She was an absolute gem — friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. She made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down, offered excellent recommendations, and ensured that every part of our meal was just right. It’s rare to find someone so professional yet personable. She truly elevated our experience.
The food? Outstanding. Every dish was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor — clearly made with care and passion.
Between the amazing service, fantastic food, and lovely ambiance, I can confidently say this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Thank you, Lucia, for making it unforgettable!"

Seven Italian restaurants in Palm Beach with not-to-be-missed seafood dishes
At this swish Italian spot with an eye-catching retro décor and roots spanning back to 1920s Milan before the brand expanded to multiple locations, it’s easy to be swept away by, among other things, the desserts (from pastries to gelato), but don’t miss the seafood. For instance, there’s a “Palm Beach-style” seafood misto ($37) with lightly fried Florida Gulf shrimp, calamari, asparagus and lemon aioli — as well as grilled Scottish salmon ($47), featuring side dishes that can change with the seasons, such as roasted bell-pepper sauce and Italian panzanella or a lentil salad, roasted ratatouille and more.

Sant Ambroeus is exactly where you want to go for breakfast, lunch and dinner when you’re near The Royal Poinciana Plaza. The service is 5-star; the Milanese-inspired cuisine checks all the boxes whether you’re in the mood for their popular Asparagi Freddi or a bowl of delicious pasta; and the dining room is one of the prettiest in PBI. There are the usual suspects of course: fresh caprese salads, tagliatelle entangled in a hearty bolognese and crisped-to-perfection veal Milanese, but there are also plenty of seasonal specials that deserve your attention.
Northeast restaurants follow customers south, open in Palm Beach County
The Milan-inspired New York City café, Sant Ambroeus, was among the first New York-based establishments to expand to South Florida when it debuted its Palm Beach outpost in 2018. The stylish ristorante and pasticceria quickly became one of the island's favorites for its trifecta of excellent food, service, and ambiance. It's the place to go for house-made pastas and indulgent imported Italian ingredients, including the 18-month-aged San Daniele prosciutto, or the mozzarella di bufala Campana from Naples that arrives each week via FedEx.

Start with a homemade soup if one is on offer, along with toasted sunflower bread with creamy burrata and fava bean spread. Pastas include a bolognese and conchiglie alla aragosta; and paccheri with a spicy San Marzano tomato sauce.
