What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Appalachian Grill is highly praised for its inventive Southern-New American cuisine and charming rustic ambiance, with many diners highlighting dishes like fried grouper and pecan chicken. While the food and service often receive rave reviews, some patrons note inconsistent portion sizes and occasional rushed dining experiences. Overall, it's considered a refined dining option in Cartersville, perfect for special occasions.
"Four of us came to the Appalachian Grill for lunch. It was a first time visit, and we came upon high recommendations from friends. All of our meals were absolutely delicious & prepared perfectly! For an appetizer, we shared Fried Green Tomatoes. I had the Grouper with a Crab Cake. Others had Catfish & 1 had the Appalachian Grill Special. For Dessert we had Key Lime Pie & Creme Brulee.
Our amazing server was Ally. She was very polite, professional and just a Sweetheart. She took excellent care of us. We also got to meet the manager & the owner Jackie. It was great dining experience for all. Highly recommend the Appalachian Grill for lunch or dinner!"

"I had the ribeye with mashed potatoes and a side salad. The salad was delicious, but the ribeye was super fatty. The mashed potatoes were not good to me. On a positive note, it was very thick, juicy, and seasoned well. I did have to send it back because I asked for it to be cooked medium, and at first I received it medium-rare. I complemented my meal w/ a French 75, which was alright but more tart and bitter then I'm used to. It wasn't sweet at all and maybe that's exactly what they were going for but not to my liking. I don't have any real complaints. I wanted to try this place because I heard that Atlanta Eats TV show gave it a pretty good review. Next time I'll try something else. I hate that I didn't get a photo of my entries."

"This was a very cool restaurant. I came here for a business lunch because my customers said this was one of their favorite restaurants in town. I had the creamy shrimp and grits, which were delicious. Everyone else's food looked really good, too. The staff was friendly and attentive. I definitely want to return and try other entrées."
