The wall art includes local family names going back three and four generations in Whitefish, including the Goble and Sillaker families. Word on the street has it that the wall is from the old Hanging Tree.

The Craggy Range Bar & Grill offers different variations of gastropub fare that make it a favorite with the locals. It’s another one of our favorites. Dine on burgers and patty melts or choose healthier options like chicken and rice or pho bowls for lunch or dinner.

At first we were skeptical of the spot and we ended up going there due to multiple places being a really long wait. First of all, we had awesome service. I always notice when a server has a ton of tables but is hustling and totally on top of it.

If you’re headed out on the town, and want a restaurant meets bar type situation, then look towards The Great Northern Bar & Grill, Bulldog Saloon, Craggy Range Bar & Grill, The Remington Bar, or Montana Tap House.

Craggy Range serves lunch and dinner in the heart of downtown. It’s the perfect place for a relaxed meal paired with a local brew. Go light with the beet salad or go big with a huckleberry pulled pork sandwich.

Middle of the range in downtown Whitefish is the Craggy Range Bar and Grill and the good Latitude 48 & Red Room. High end includes The Boat Club which is north of downtown.

Truthfully, it’s a great combo of sports bar and gastro pub with a patio. Of course, you can’t go wrong!. Really, it’s just a great spot for après-ski drinks and snacks.
