Featuring a beautiful menu filled with your favorite platos, the only reason we didn’t put this tasty place higher on our list is that while it is not a chain restaurant, there IS another Jalisco Cantina in California. There is just that one other, however, so we are counting this smart place as a local only.

We ate there last winter and it was hands down some of the best Mexican food we have ever had!. Jalisco Cantina established itself as a an upscale contemporary Mexican option in California before opening a second location in Whitefish, Montana. I tried their cilantro smash paired with their classic carne asada tacos and was very impressed with both!

Only disappointment was that we were too full to get the fried ice cream afterward. Most of the menu is gluten free, and our server told us anything with gluten uses a separate fryer, so things like the chips are celiac safe.

Jalisco Cantina is conveniently located right across the street from us. They are a full-service restaurant with truly the best Baja-style Mexican. Everything is made fresh, even their handmade tortillas and chips.
