Reviews Summary
Diners praise The Surfing Pig for its vibrant atmosphere, waterfront views, and creative cocktails, with many highlighting the delicious BBQ and fresh seafood. However, some reviews mention inconsistencies in food quality and high prices for the value.
"I went here after a long day on the beach. The beers were cold and the service was quick. I ordered the sweet chili wings they were crispy and alittle bit of sweet heat. My husband had the ribs, fries, and baked potato, everything was very good. The atmosphere was fun with live music by the bay. I will definitely return soon."

"Great location with really good service of food that is unfortunately riding on long reputation of being good from the past. We drove down from our northern island area to grab an early lunch & view here at The Surfing Pig as it has always been a reliable eatery. Santa just arrived on the dock to visit today. Arriving a wee bit early for noon serving we drank some cocktail drinks served in nice aluminum drink cups. The Rum Runner was heavy with banana but enjoyable, def recommend the Watermelon Margarita. Highlight of my lunch.
Ordered: House Special: Crab Quesadillas & Pulled Pork Tacos to share with one another. The Quesdadillas; 1st taste was a mouthful of salt. Not Old Bay seasoning, but salty-salt. Geez. A few bites later it was an ok dish that was nothing to brag about. Pulled Pork Tacos had nice toppings to cover over much of the dried out meat. Even though the pork had flavor it should have been dumped-not served. Picked through the taco and ate what was OK. The fries were uneventful & not crisp. Almost like in the UK chips. Ordered them extra crispy. We stopped ordering food & had ordered cocktails instead.

The single bathroom was clean. Located in dining area has no fan inside. It was about 78 degrees outside and 90 degrees in the bathroom. Felt like a Petri dish experiment inside that room. Ewww."

"The best hidden spot in Wildwood. We always make a point to stop by once a year hit the boardwalk and have dinner at the surfing big. The staff is amazing and the food ans drinks are top tier! Sit on the patio and enjoy the bay. The firecracker shrimp is a must and the BBQ combo with ribs and brisket, or pulled chicken or pork. You won't be disappointed to stop by the surfing pig"

The best Jersey Shore restaurants with outdoor seating and waterfront views
The Surfing Pig serves up smoked barbecue along with a variety of seafood and bold boozy drinks on its big outdoor deck on the bay. The family-owned-and-operated restaurant slow-smokes its meats and also makes a homemade sweet-and-tangy Klepto BBQ sauce. There’s more here than lunch and dinner; it also serves up breakfast skillets (piled high with eggs, cheese, potatoes, and a variety of meats or veggies) and the Chum Bucket Bloody Mary, which comes dusted with Old Bay and topped with shrimp and crab.
