Reviews Summary

Tipsy Beans Café is a highly-rated spot praised for its unique drink creations and flavorful, well-prepared food, particularly its brunch offerings. While many enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and friendly service, potential visitors should be aware of long wait times, especially during peak hours. Some reviewers noted minor issues with food presentation or pricing, but overall, it's a recommended destination for a distinctive dining experience.

"This is probably one of the best places for breakfast and brunch in Williamburg. The variety of lattes and coffees available is insane. The food is exceptional. Very tasty, portions are large and everything we tried was delicious. The only downfall is long lines and waiting times. It gets very busy, and the baristas are slower than the kitchen. They need to have more people preparing the coffee orders because we got food before the coffee. Everything else was great."

"This was our first time here after a friend recommended it to us. The young lady behind the bar was slinging drinks like nobody’s business. They were delicious, too!
The food was awesome and the atmosphere was great. It was a Tuesday around 11am and seemed strangely busy so we knew it was going to be worth it.
I had the chicken and waffles and a green tea shooter. My wife had shrimp and grits and a dragon fruit mimosa."

"Wow if the crowd and the wait are indications of how great the food is, then might as well give a 5 star without ordering, It also helps they were recognized for 2024 Coastal VA choice.

Located in a shopping complex with just steps from the Movie Tavern. This location is accessible with ample parking.
Seating is available inside, on patio and at the bar. Even for a person walk-in, the wait is more than 20 minutes at 12noon on a Saturday.
You check in and your name and number are taken so they can call you when seating is available.

I finally got seated at the bar. Noticed that they not only spray/clean the counter but also the bar stool - kudos! Jessie at the bar was friendly and personable. Lots of cocktail and coffee offerings! Everyone seems to belong to a happy team, interchangeably having each other’s backs from calling the waitlist, to bartending, to making coffee.

I ordered the Morning After Burger. It was a toss up between that or shrimp and grits, both were marked as favorites. I was able to substitute French fries with fruits, no issue.

The burger was delicious. Definitely worth the long drive from VA Beach! Oh, I ordered the tower carrot cake."

12 Best Places for Breakfast in Williamsburg VA You Must Try

It’s a bar, it’s a café, it does bangin’ breakfast and brunch food, (as well as charcuterie if that’s your thing) and they’re open all day, meaning you’ll love it so much at breakfast you’ll no doubt be back for lunch and dinner!. We love the Greek yoghurt parfait (vanilla yoghurt, granola, berries, coconut flakes), stuffed French toast (French toast filled with cream cheese, served with berries, whipped cream and sugar), and crab cakes eggs benedict. They have some great acai bowls, and bakery pastry treats, as well as some great breakfast cocktails and smoothies, including an acai berry smoothie!

Best Breakfast in Williamsburg, VA: 17 Spots to Try

I’m a sucker for a place with smoothie bowls, and with four different options on their menu, Tipsy Beans rates high on my list. But don’t worry, you can also choose from tons of traditional breakfast items as well as country classics like deviled eggs, pork rinds, and brisket and hash. Their most creative food item on the menu is their bacon, egg, and cheese waffle sandwich, but you can also find the classic fried chicken and waffles if that’s what you’re craving, and even upgrade to a red velvet waffle for an added wow factor.
