In the middle of it all is House of Embers, with outside seating facing the busy street and an outside bar. I enjoyed its Napa Thai Salad loaded with Napa cabbage, fresh greens, and vegetables with a Thai peanut dressing. But, if you’re looking for a more robust meal, it was voted “best ribs in the Wisconsin Dells” according to the restaurant’s brochure!

On a quiet, cold December evening, Steve and I decided to dine at the House of Embers. We had heard great things about the restaurant plus we liked the ads showing the chefs with chocolate all over their face. Wally's House of Embers is one of few restaurants in Wisconsin Dells that prides itself on a long family tradition.

Famous for their baby back BBQ ribs and homemade desserts, House of Embers has been serving Dells travelers since 1959. Make sure not to miss the Sunday breakfast buffet and the daily happy hour that starts at 4:30. Happy hour features half price apps, burgers, and pizzas along with drinks specials.

A truly unique experience all-around is the House of Embers. Unique dining rooms tailored to various themes are saturated with rich history and stunning design. From the Tiffany room to the Veranda room, Valentino room and more, the style of your evening can be tailored just to your liking.

House of Embers is well known for its hickory-smoked Baby Back BBQ Ribs and great steaks. Other menu items include fresh fish, burgers, pasta, and homemade desserts. The pizzas are summer fresh, and the Sunday Breakfast Buffet is renowned.
