"Delicious! Food was amazing. Had to wait about 10 mins for a party of 5 at 12pm. Highly recommend the bison burger and the grilled cheese. Probably one of my top 3 grilled cheeses in the world!! We also enjoyed the pulled pork. Service was incredibly fast! Small dining area, but cute little 50s diner feel. Would DEFINITELY come back"

"Stopped into Canyon Fountain & Grill twice while visiting and staying at Canyon Village — great little diner-style spot right inside the park and general store.
I actually loved sitting at the classic counter; it really adds to the experience. First night I had the chicken burger — a bit different with no sauce on the bun and salad on the side, but the fries were super fresh and the server was amazing, even gave me some great tips for exploring the area.
Second visit I had chicken and chips — still good, but not quite as tasty as the first meal. Overall, a fun, casual option if you’re visiting and want that classic diner vibe with friendly staff."

"5-stars for the fact that this place exists to serve food in the center of Yellowstone National Park, and has friendly service. The food is basic. But, let’s be honest, you don’t come here for a gourmet meal. You come because you want to stay in the Park enjoying the views and the experience. We enjoyed our burger and chicken sandwich. But they won’t be the best you’ve ever had, and I would never expect them too.
Keep an eye on the hours as they can change depending on the season."

Another good option is to drive to Canyon Village and head up to Tower. Up north is Slough Creek, and campsite 2S1 is a sweet one right along the creek (actually, it's a real river). Slough Creek is at about 6500', so it's a bit warmer there than up on the plateau around Old Faithful.
