This is everything I ate at Yosemite! I researched so much for this trip and not only on the trails but the food. Even though Yosemite has amazing restaurants, I also wanted to cook because it’s been a dream of mine to cook inside Yosemite! The first day, we had gone to The Deck which is a famous restaurant in a famous campground called Curry Village. On the second day we made some breakfast in ...

Reviews Summary

Base Camp Eatery offers a wide variety of casual dining options within Yosemite Valley Lodge, with many appreciating its convenience and diverse menu that includes Asian noodles, pizza, and burgers. However, some diners express disappointment with food quality and consistency, noting that it can be expensive and the ordering/pickup process can be confusing. The atmosphere is generally considered functional for a quick meal rather than a gourmet experience.

"Great spot to grab a bite after a morning hike! We had the chicken fingers, cheeseburger with fries, and some super fresh coleslaw—way better than I expected. The food hit the spot and came out fast, which we really appreciated. We liked it so much, we came back the next morning for breakfast. The short stack was delicious, and the breakfast combo was just the right amount of food. Service was quick both times, and there was plenty of seating. Definitely recommend if you’re in the park and need a solid, no-fuss meal!"

"I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. It was dense and tasteless, liking chewing rubber, only the roll was satisfactory. The prices are reasonable but the quality of the food is utterly unacceptable. It’s best to just bring cold sandwiches and salads (in a large cooler) from home or purchase these items from a local deli as you drive to the Park."

Wayne Clark

"Base Camp Eatery is in Yosemite Valley. To order your food you have to use the kiosk. There are many options to choose from. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich. It tasted good, but was expensive. All food in Yosemite is expensive. Plenty of seating in the dining area."

Afterward, I went to the Yosemite Base Camp Eatery, and took in another ~0.5L of fluid and salty french fries, to also replete some of the salt I lost through sweating. And throughout the rest of the day I took in more fluid to fully rehydrate. More on the specifics of hiking the Mist Trail by clicking here to read my article I wrote directly after hiking it.
