What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mustards Grill is a Napa Valley classic, celebrated for its upscale comfort food and impressive wine selection. Diners consistently praise signature dishes like the Mongolian pork chop and the crispy onion rings, alongside the lively yet cozy atmosphere. While generally excellent, occasional service hiccups and a tendency for some dishes to be slightly salty have been noted.
"Lunch our first day in Napa and it did not disappoint! Great service and atmosphere. The food was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed the Chicken sandwich and pulled pork. All was delicious. The fresh chips were a nice add on and the onion rings were some of the best we have ever had. Highly recommend eating here!!"

"Really enjoyed the specials which were recommended by our waiter. The local lamb chop from over the hill was outstanding. The Orecchiette pasta dinner with rabbit, garlic, thyme and bacon was really delicate and delicious. We will be back. If we lived here it would be on our weekly rotation. Also, the wine list is newspaper sized and double sided, and reasonably priced as in not a egregious makeup and with an amazing selection of really great wine makers. Their spirits list is excellent as well, and as a bourbon drinker, I appreciate the well priced hard to find items on the list."

"Mustards is a must if you’re in the Napa area. We dropped in last minute, fortunately they were able to seat us without a reservation. The food and service were both fantastic. We ordered the calamari app, it was light, not chewy, and had an amazing dipping sauce. The we ordered the grilled grouper special. It was melt in your mouth delicious 😋 for dessert we had the pineapple upside down cake… it was heavenly. We highly recommend Mustard’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

Best Restaurants in Napa Valley, From Downtown to Calistoga
NapaChef Cindy Pawlcyn’s “deluxe truck stop” has been holding court on St. Helena Highway for almost four decades. While local, wood-fired fare has become ubiquitous in Napa Valley (and California at large), Mustards was doing it before most, and better than many still, with a playful focus on comfort food classics that happen to pair perfectly with the restaurant’s selection of local wine. Because when’s the last time you had a hearty slab of meatloaf and garlic mashed potatoes alongside a magnificent Malbec?

There’s a great mix of local power lunches and vacationing tourists, and the kitchen is so consistent – slinging out hundreds of ahi tuna crackers, towers of onion rings and heaping mounds of meatloaf without missing a beat. I love the curried coleslaw that adds a bright splash of flavor to crispy calamari.
