The restaurant uses fresh produce from their on-site, two-acre organic garden to complement their savory dishes — the baby back ribs are a must.

There’s a great mix of local power lunches and vacationing tourists, and the kitchen is so consistent – slinging out hundreds of ahi tuna crackers, towers of onion rings and heaping mounds of meatloaf without missing a beat. I love the curried coleslaw that adds a bright splash of flavor to crispy calamari.

Two more recommendations: Don Giovanni (not far north of Napa itself) and the venerable and excellent Mustard Grill, just a bit farther up the valley. You'll need reservations at both; they're quite popular.

Mustards Grill – My friend Kelly was a chef here so we were able to try SO many dishes. It’s been around forever and has a relaxed atmosphere. Make sure you try a glass of the Ilaria Malbec (delicious and incredible value) and dine in the garden outside!.
