This restaurant offers a unique, nostalgic ambiance reminiscent of Vietnam's subsidy era, serving authentic home-cooked meals that many find comforting and delicious. While praised for its unique decor and traditional flavors, some diners note that the food can be pricey for the portion size and experience, and a few reviews have raised concerns about hygiene.
"A must-visit place for both local and foreigner!
Location: western area of Hanoi, face to West Lake; car parking (1 or 2 slots only)
Size: Small restaurant with 2 floors, have open space and inside, air ventilation is good
Decoration: decently decorated in a nostalgic style reminiscent of Vietnam's post-war subsidy period
Food: where you can find very traditional daily homefood of Vietnam but at a more detailed level. I have visited several times and foods are always fresh and tasty.
Price: Ok
Service: young staffs are cute and friendly; sometimes a bit slow and need to remind the staffs; a bit family style but that's also the trait of family meal."

"This place served a variety of Vietnamese home dishes which made me feel at home when I were there.
I love how they decorate their restaurant, full of items that remind me of my childhood. With a cozy vibe and good view of the Truc Bach lake, this one is a perfect choice for dinner.
In terms of their food, we ordered a typical Vietnamese meals and you can see in the picture ( we ordered vegetable soup as well but it came later so I didn’t take a pic). I would say I didn’t feel like I was eating out at all, all the food were great and comforting. I highly recommend you to try the stir fried water spinach with garlic and fried chicken with fish sauce.
Their staffs are pretty nice and can communicate in English so it would be a plus😎"
CURIOUS ABOUT VIETNAM
"We found it after we made a research about local restaurants and we were really happy with our discovery!
It is totally authentic with local flavours and dishes that we didn't find them anywhere else. We had a super interesting fried rice with shrimp paste, Vietnamese steamed vegetables, diep fried tofuaans pickled aubergines.
Everything was delicious and tastefull."
