Reviews Summary
Sorae Restaurant & Lounge is lauded for its breathtaking city views and elegant ambiance, making it ideal for romantic evenings or special occasions. Diners frequently praise the fresh sashimi and attentive service. However, some guests have noted that certain dishes can be bland, and occasional issues with menu item availability or service timing have been mentioned.
"Nice view from the 51st floor of Bitexco Tower where the restaurant is located. Sashimi and sushi are fresh and of decent thickness. Roasted ginko seed was something special, can't find elsewhere. Matcha and salted caramel were tasty. Service level is friendly and professional."

"The view is simply amazing and the restaurant beautiful. The staff is also very friendly.
What was disappointing was the service. First, there are no real napkins on the tables and no water bottle was served to us. The glasses were even taken from us at the beginning.
Second, there were 4 out of the 7 dishes we wanted to order that were not available, this is not acceptable, especially since we checked the menu before coming and already planned what we wanted to eat.
Now about the food itself, it was good but nothing to write home about. We were expecting fine dishes with unique and interesting flavors, but the food was very ordinary and not better than what you can find in normal restaurants for 1/5 of the price.
Although we mentioned to them that we wanted to eat the appetizers first and then have our main dishes served, they brought almost everything at the same time…
Finally, I don’t like having to pay “Service fee” and “VAT” at the end. Either include it in your prices or don’t ask clients to pay that, it just doesn’t feel like a good experience. Change your “regulations” about that, it shouldn’t be that complicated.
If only the restaurant could listen and improve it would be great, but it doesn’t seem like that since I saw other reviews from months/years ago mentioning similar issues.
Overall, we enjoyed the view and the cocktails, not so much the rest."

"Came for dinner in March 2025 was planning to do a review but life happened. The food was ok, a little too bland for my taste. The food presentation was really cool though and you can't help but appreciate how awesome the view of the city is at night with all the lights from so high up. The one thing I wanted to point out was the service. They were very attentive and asked if we needed anything quite often. We were seated right by the food window and high traffic area so we requested to move to a quieter area which they moved us right away. At one point I noticed one of my shoes broke and could not walk with it but I was too embarrassed to say anything until our dinner was almost over. I finally got the courage and asked one of the staff if they can help me get another pair of shoes somewhere. The girl I talked with said I could go down to the streets and lots of vendors around to buy from. That didn't help me much but the guy that was beside her immediately ran somewhere and came back with 2 used flip flops that the servers use as their accessory/uniform. The 2 flip flops were of different sizes but I didn't care. I just needed something I could use to walk back to my hotel. I appreciated his help so much I gave him a huge tip (to cover for the shoes plus)on top of the tip we gave for the dinner. I wanted that to be for him only but I think he shared it with the main staff. His quick thinking should be commended. I don't know his name but I want to say a big THANK YOU to that guy that saved me from a huge embarrassment."
