ZYGO Cafe

"If you're traveling through Peru, Tarapoto is a beautiful city to visit. Tucked in the center is Zygo Bed & Breakfast, and an adorable vegetarian/vegan cafe. The hosts, Arnaud & Patricia, are lovely guides, and will make recommendations of great places to visit nearby or what to try first on their delicious menu. The source local real food, organic ingredients for their dishes. Great salads, sandwiches, and that date smoothie and the veggie burger is a must try. Zygo will also pack you a lunch to go if you're taking a day trip to one of the fantastic waterfalls, or just wanting to eat clean. Pricing of rooms & food were great too.

I stayed as a guest for 5 days and can't wait to come back. The rooms are clean an you'll have your own private bedroom & bathroom. There's an inside and outside space to eat, chill, or work remotely (wifi was great) I encourage solo travelers to feel good about staying in Tarapoto at Zygo. It's a great city to enjoy and you're walking distance from some great spots in nature that will have you feeling you're in the Amazon. I felt safe the entire time, motortaxis are easy to take all over, and you're centrally located to shops and restaurants."

"What a beautiful place in Tarapoto. It's a very chilled and relaxed atmosphere here. It's also clean and stylish.
They don't only have delicious vegan food (marked clearly on the menu), but also amazing coffee with homemade (!) almond milk. This was by far the best meal we had in a long time. You have to try the frozen monkey (banana ice-cream) and the Maki de Platano for dessert - both is to die for!"

"Regarding the fact that there is just a few modern nice cafes in Tarapoto, Zygo is worth visiting. Food and drinks didn’t amaze me, neither the service, but it’s still a nice place with healthy options of sandwiches and salads. Cute and calm inner garden."
