What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Aquarium Beach Akuarium is lauded for its stunning natural beauty, crystal-clear waters, and secluded cove feel, offering a pristine public beach experience. However, the challenging access road and the beach's small size leading to rapid overcrowding are significant drawbacks for many visitors. Some also note issues with litter and unauthorized camping.
"Aquarium Beach is hands-down my favorite! The best I've ever visited, no contest. The road there is a real challenge, though: get there super early to snag parking (free spots along the route, but push your luck as close as your car can handle on that rough stretch—normal vehicles, not jeeps, so play it safe). We parked roadside and hiked the last 25 minutes down, which felt like the perfect prelude.
When we arrived? Total surprise in the best way—a secret-feeling cove hugged by rocks and cliffs on both sides. You can scramble up the boulders and leap into the water if you're feeling bold, but go careful and pack water shoes for the super pebbly shore. It's tiny and all public, no paid sunbeds, just pure, unfiltered bliss. Spotted a menu for a restaurant/bar up top, but we skipped it with homemade bread in tow.
Head back early to beat the dark—the unlit path can feel a bit eerie. Beyond all that, it's pure magic and I recommend it every way possible!"

"Aquarium Beach is absolutely stunning! I arrived by scooter around 9 AM and there was no one. It was calm, peaceful, and the water was crystal clear and refreshing, perfect for a quiet morning swim. A few people started arriving around 10, and by 11:00 it was already really crowded, which made it less enjoyable. So if you want to enjoy the beach at its best, come early!
That said, I can’t recommend coming here by scooter. The road conditions are very poor, more like rocky paths. Even as an experienced driver, I struggled a lot, slipped, and actually fell from the scooter. Some people manage to get there by car, but that’s also risky and not ideal, but more recommended than riding a scooter.
It’s a beautiful beach and definitely worth a visit, no doubt, but be cautious with how you get there. The earlier you arrive, the more magical it is."

"very beautiful beach, however keep in mind it’s a pretty small place, and even in the evening it was packed. Additionally it’s very hard to get there, the road goes up and down in the mountains and if you aren’t an extremely experienced driver, i wouldn’t recommend going all the way on car. but it’s tough to walk on foot (don’t go in flipflops). Overall it was a really bad experience for us, but i could see it being a very nice one for someone else."
