What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mercado Norte is a vibrant historical market offering a fantastic array of fresh produce, meats, and a diverse culinary scene with highly-rated ethnic and traditional eateries. While it can get very crowded, especially on Saturdays, its lively atmosphere and quality offerings make it a must-visit for locals and tourists alike.
"This market, while it pales next to food markets in other south and central American markets, is a great source of fresh (but not organic) vegetables and fish. I'm not a consumer of meat but there's plenty here. Two restaurants stand out. The first is a Bolivian outdoor stand/patio restaurant with the most delicious sopa de mani (peanut soup). The other is an outstanding Armenian restaurant called Diran. It's the best food we can get in Cordoba, not just Armenian/Arabic. The Kimberly labaniyeh (yogurt soup with tiny meatballs) is out of this world!"

It's quite crowded on Saturdays (didn't try other days)"
