"The campsite is beautiful from every angle.
The pitches have tables, benches, and a grill, plus plenty of space to set up tents, with small trees for windbreaks and hammocks.
It's very quiet, with no electricity and a noise-free area, so music is not allowed, and quiet time is at 11 p.m.
There are bathrooms in the front and back. There's space to wash dishes, and best of all: hot showers (you'll want to take quick ones, of course).
There's Wi-Fi at the grocery store, and Toto, the host, prepares some meals (e.g., milanesas, hamburgers, pizzas, French fries, and torta frita). The torta frita frita is the best, as he serves them freshly made in the morning—a 10/10.
A night per person today is $15,000, which seemed incredibly cheap considering how beautiful and peaceful the place is.
From the campsite, you can hike (part of the Andean Trail) to the Achen Niyeu Volcano. Instead of climbing it, we reached the Portezuelo Waterfall, which follows the same path, with Lanin Volcano always the focal point of the panoramic view. It's a long hike but generally without technical difficulties.
As it's part of Lanin National Park, pets are not allowed, but we saw people bringing their dogs, and honestly, we didn't like it one bit, considering how much they disturb the wildlife. There are no controls in place, as we didn't see any park rangers in the area."
