Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Macuco Trail for its peaceful jungle trek and the unique, up-close experience at Arrechea Falls, offering a serene escape from the crowds. While some find the waterfall itself less grand than others, the immersive nature walk and wildlife spotting are consistently highlighted as major positives.

"The walk to the Salto Arrechea is a nice 7km walk that can easily be done in sandals as well. The walk itself is through the jungle for an hour until you reach the waterfall. The waterfall in comparison to the others is a bit boring. However, the walk was interesting because of the animals that we saw."

Cheyenne Blatter

"Amazing! The trek here is SO quiet and with such a small amount of people walking it that just for the trek it would be worth it for me.

This is the place where you can get the closest to a waterfall in the whole national park. If you do your best you can stand under it and without being in direct hit of the main stream from the waterfall, you'll get completely soaked anyways.

This was probably my favourite activity to go to from the whole national park.

I even prefer it over the boat ride I did. If you have the time and a bit of energy, I highly recommend that you check this out!"

Tom van Zanten

"If it was anywhere else I would rave about the beauty of this waterfall. Here, in Iguazu National Park walking about 8 kms (round trip) for a single high, but thin waterfall is only for gourmands, can be a bit of a disappointment when one can see so many with much less effort.
I recommend this walk for those who have walked all the other trails and had enough of the crowds. The trail that leads here is very peaceful. One has the opportunity and time to observe nature. I saw many interesting trees, beautiful butterflies, lizards, coaties, and a group of monkeys. If you factor this in, it is a lovely walk, if you are only interested in the waterfall than you may see it as a long and boring walk."
