"THE COLUMN, Pueblo de Luis.
DESCRIPTION: The former railway station now houses the Pueblo de Luis Regional Museum. It has seven rooms fully equipped with history and thematic instruments based on axes that show us the original presence of ethnic groups, including the Mapuche and Tehuelche people of the aforementioned region, from the colonial era of the Welsh who arrived in Chubut a century ago.
The museum extends into the outer surface and includes the platform and Governor Costa Square. There you can see unique pieces for agricultural use, a steam locomotive, and tangible memories of yesteryear. Which were used for field and railway work.
Educational materials and special activities are displayed in the waiting room of the old station. The display cases contain documents, with calligraphic pen lettering, depicting the evolution of the city.
History: With the arrival of the first train at Trelew Station, the history began at the end of the 19th century. Since it was essential for the active life of the Welsh, the station became a compendium of life identity. The walls that support the old building date from 1889. Remnants of old Welsh people are preserved there. The railway network gave life, origin, and meaning to the region's trade. It also helped socially and culturally. Through the windows (I was almost there) you can see the stories woven from the elements displayed there from that European era. HOURS: WEEKDAYS FROM 8:00 AM TO 8:00 PM

RATING AND REVIEW: We listened to the guide: "The idea is to transform it into an eco-museum; a center for studying and preserving the region's past with active input from the population, so that they don't forget their roots. I'M GIVING YOU 3 STARS SINCE DURING MY VISIT (END OF MONTH 06, BEGINNING OF MONTH 07) IT CLOSED AT 7:45 PM. IF I RETURN AT ANY POINT, I WILL TRY TO GO EARLIER."
