Tips on Ushuaia?
Yes, Ushuaia is not Patagonia, but close enough. I'm staying here for a week waiting for the Antarctica cruise; any tips on what not to miss in the town? Thanks!

ushuaia day hikes?
Looking for recommendations! Something that is easily accessible from down town by cab or bus (and where to get bus) and wouldn't take more than a few hours to loop through. Thanks!

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Hikers rave about the Pampa Alta Trail's breathtaking summit views, calling them 'amazing' and 'worth the effort.' The chance to see guanacos early in the morning is a magical highlight. However, be prepared for a consistently steep and challenging ascent, with muddy and rocky terrain, especially near the top.
"A bit of a rough trail, when going over the treeline, the ground gets really wet and muddy until you reach the rocky summit part.
In the wood, the trail is fair.
It is a hard trail as it always goes up. Around 1000m up in the last 5km. The first km are shared with the Hito 14 trail and are around the lake.
When at the summit you can see Ushuaia, the Beagle Canal, the Andes on the Chilli side. It is an amazing 360° view from the top. Worth the effort would recommend!"

"Amazing, just come early in the morning before others people to see the guanacos on the way. The moment was magical, only us and the guanacos !
If you’re finishing the trek all time before the time written in the signs, you can expect to do the round trip trek in 5h instead of the 4:30h just to go at the top !"

"The trek is pretty short for the amazing views you get, which is perfect. It’s not too difficult if you’re in shape but it does have some steep parts towards the end. Really loved this one! Don’t miss if it you’re in Ushuaia, but leave early as it takes around 6-8 hours to go and come back (that’s just for the trek, you first have to get to the park and all the way to the start of the trek, I recommend taking a cab and arriving before 7:30 that way you don’t Pay the entrance fee which is more expensive than a cab shared by 3)."
