What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Bodega Valle de la Puerta for its excellent wines, delicious local products, and beautiful finca. The guided tours are informative and engaging, with guides like Alicia and Maxi receiving special mentions for their enthusiasm. While the tour duration itself is brief, the extended tasting sessions and the opportunity to purchase high-quality products at good prices make for a highly recommended experience.
"We booked a wine tour on bike straight via Whatsapp with Valle de la Puerta. We were welcomed very friendly by the woman in the shop and although we were early, she immediately called for the guide. They offered us an English guide, which we happily accepted. Our guide, Maxi, was very enthusiastic and although he just started at the company he could provide us with new information about the vineyard and the wine making process (we visited several vineyard throughout South America on our one year trip). For the first time we walked underneath the branches of the vineyard and even tasted the different grapes directly from the trees.
The tour itself on the property didn’t take a long time (+/- 30 minutes), but it was interesting. The only unexpected thing was that we would ride the bike and the guide was driving in front of us in his car.
The tasting back in the shop could last as long as you wish. We tried a lot of wines from different ranges of quality and had a lot of fun with Maxi and the saleswoman from the shop. Tasting the olive oil was something new and very tasty! We bought some very good wines and had a very nice afternoon. Thank you for showing us around!"
