What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Wariruri Natural Bridge for its dramatic natural beauty and the adventurous experience of reaching it via off-road vehicles. It's seen as a less crowded, wilder alternative to other Aruban attractions, offering stunning coastal views and unique photo opportunities. However, some reviewers note the presence of trash, detracting from the pristine natural appeal.
"Sadly, this beach is filled with so much trash. It was like we were at a dump sight. It was everywhere and so gross!! Definitely not worth the stop and do not walk on it."
Christina Wenzel
"Beautiful place with a small natural bridge. Definitely a place to stop by if you are on the north part of the island. It is a nice adventure to see the wild ocean. You do need a 4x4 or something similar to access this side of the island. You can just rent a jeep for a day. Google maps works perfectly so there is no chance to get lost. Since it is not easy to access, it is not crowded. Great pictures."
Carlos Hempel
"Nothing much to say other that this is a nice place to visit and see the sights. Tide is impressive, it is very rough and strong. On the coral plain, next to the hollowed out cave you can actually hear the rocks clack on each other as the tide rises and recedes."

Navigating Aruba's North Coast
When exploring, be prepared for a wilder, more natural environment. The ocean here is rough and strong, making it unsuitable for swimming but spectacular for viewing. The natural bridge itself is a testament to the erosive power of water and wind over time. While the scenery is breathtaking, some visitors have noted the presence of trash, highlighting the importance of respecting the natural environment and packing out everything you bring. Despite this, the relative lack of crowds compared to other Aruban attractions makes it a rewarding destination for those seeking a more adventurous and less commercialized experience.
The Geology of Natural Bridges
The specific location and rock type of Aruba make it conducive to forming these structures. The porous limestone is susceptible to dissolution by seawater and the abrasive action of sand and debris carried by the waves. The constant battering by the sea, especially during rougher conditions, accelerates the erosion process. While the Wariruri bridge is a significant natural arch, it's important to remember that these formations are dynamic and can change or even collapse over time due to ongoing erosion and geological factors.
