What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking panoramic views from the summit lookout, often highlighting the scenic beauty of Port Phillip Bay and the distant Melbourne skyline. The Eagle Cable Car ride is a popular attraction, offering a unique perspective. While some find the cable car a bit pricey, the overall experience is highly recommended for its stunning vistas and natural setting.
"We drove up to the lookout instead of taking the cable car. The view towards the shoreline was nice, although slightly obstructed by trees.
What ended up being the most exciting part of the visit was spotting a kangaroo family not far from the Arthurs Seat Summit Picnic Shelter (after passing the toilet).
We did not walk far since we were travelling with an elderly person who could not walk too long, but we still spent quite some time just watching the kangaroos in the bushes and different kinds of cockatoos in the park.
The café closed sharp at 4pm on a weekday together with the cable car. If you do not plan to take the cable car or go for a proper walk, it is actually a small area and does not take long to see. Worth checking out if you are already nearby, otherwise not a must-visit if you are not into hiking or viewpoints."

"We enjoyed the visit, seeing and riding the Eagle which was affordable and the view is amazing. Seeing all the changes to the place from when we last visited 15 odd years ago was great, an icon of a place for the peninsula."

"Simply breathtaking views. If in Melbourne please visit here. I have been to Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh as well. But I think the view here is amazing 👏"
