What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bidjigal Reserve is widely praised for its stunning natural beauty, offering pleasant bushwalks through rainforests with creeks and waterfalls. While some visitors note litter issues, the well-maintained trails and opportunities for adventure, including bouldering, make it a beloved escape.
"Good tracks, we took the longest one. Sometimes it can be confusing what’s the right path but it’s good to have maps open.
Nice rainforest views, however the smell from the creek is a little strong and unpleasant, but bearable.
The walk is moderately difficult in soke aspects a little steep back up but good to escape the city."

"Stunning scenery, I can never get tired of this place, very pleasant bush walk. The Platypus Trail is fairly easy, with only minor challenges, and can generally be completed within an hour at an average pace.
For those seeking more adventure, there are also challenging tracks with tricky creek crossings and steeper ascents and descents. For these, I’d recommend bringing a walking stick, along with plenty of water and snacks, as it’s easy to get dehydrated and low on energy, especially in summer. Some trail loops can take 6–7 hours, or even longer if you hike all the way to Lake Parramatta or Cumberland Forest."

"Bidjigal Reserve is wonderful with 3 main trails well kept and marked.
The north side of the Burraga Track has some parts next to houses, not that interesting. So, when you complete the Platypus Track, I suggest going back on the East side of Burraga Track to the intersection with the Murri-Yanna track and then stay on this trail to the Blue Gum trail."
