Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the breathtaking scenery and immersive natural beauty of both the Grand Canyon National Park and the Blue Mountains' Grand Canyon Walk. The Skywalk offers a unique thrill, while the Australian trail provides a serene rainforest escape. Some find the Arizona hikes challenging and the Blue Mountains walk strenuous, particularly the uphill sections.

"I did the Grand Canyon Walk in the Blue Mountains with a couple of friends and it was our third time doing it. We parked at Evan’s Point Lookout and started from there which makes for a really nice beginning to the track. The initial downhill walk is amazing because you are surrounded by incredible views and slowly make your way into the canyon. Once you are down in the rainforest it feels like a completely different world. The air is cool and fresh, the sound of the water running through the creeks is calming, and walking under the tall trees is simply blissful. It is one of those parts of the Blue Mountains that makes you appreciate just how special this area is.

You can take your time to enjoy the scenery. There are plenty of beautiful spots to pause, look around, and take photos. The rainforest section is my favourite part because you get to experience a mix of shade, greenery, and natural rock formations that feel untouched. However, the last 40 minutes of the track are quite tough as it is mostly uphill and can really test your fitness. It is important to be prepared for that section because it feels quite different from the rest of the walk.

If you are planning to do this for the first time, I would recommend carrying enough water and a few snacks to keep your energy up. Choose a sunny day if you can because the light makes the rainforest even more beautiful and it is nice to have clear conditions when you are walking. Take your time, enjoy the views, and do not hesitate to stop for breaks along the way."

"We finished the loop in about 2.5 hours, with plenty of photo stops and a snack break. Our pace was medium and felt just right—enough time to soak it in without rushing.

We went anti-clockwise, which I’d recommend if you get tired on long climbs. You go down a lot of stairs first, then finish with a shorter climb back up. Your calves will feel the downhill the next day, though! Many of the best views were behind us, so don’t forget to look back.

Clockwise has its perks, too. You start with the epic Evans Lookout view, and the scenery gradually changes into a rainforest, but the uphill at the end is longer and tougher.

Tips:
- Start early (we began at 9 am, and it was already getting busy).
- Bring a hat handy for sun and dripping canyon walls.
- Wear proper shoes, waterproof if possible, lots of damp steps and puddles.

It’s incredible to see how nature works here. If you’re into planted aquariums, you’ll love the rocks and canyon walls covered in lush moss.

Overall, easily one of the best walks in the Blue Mountains. Whether you go clockwise or anti-clockwise, you’ll still face stairs the canyon is deep. But if you prefer a gentler finish, anti-clockwise is the way to go."

"One of the best tracks in Sydney.
So beautiful full of unique plants. It's like entering a rain forest. So may hidden location to explore. Recommend to deviate from the actual path to find hidden treasures.
Crocs approved!!!"

Mysteries and Theories Surrounding the Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon has long been a subject of fascination and speculation, with various theories circulating about its origins and hidden secrets. Some TikTok videos suggest that 90% of the Grand Canyon is off-limits to the public, protected by military services, fueling speculation about what lies within these restricted areas. TikTok+1 Explorers like G.E. Kincaid are said to have discovered ancient Egyptian-style cave systems inside the canyon in 1908, a claim that has become part of the canyon's lore. TikTok

Further theories propose that the Grand Canyon's appearance resembles petrified flesh and exhibits signs of ancient living tissue, leading to discussions about its true nature and potential prehistoric inhabitants, including dragons and large winged creatures. TikTok Some content even touches upon the idea of ancient connections to Egypt and the possibility of walking to other continents from the canyon, though these are largely speculative and not supported by mainstream science. TikTokInstagram

While these theories add an element of mystery, it's important to distinguish them from the scientifically accepted geological explanations for the Grand Canyon's formation through millions of years of erosion by the Colorado River. Instagram The park's vastness and the ongoing discoveries continue to inspire wonder and curiosity among visitors and researchers alike.
