What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Corbett Gardens is celebrated for its breathtaking spring tulip displays during the annual Tulip Time Festival, offering a vibrant and colorful experience. Visitors appreciate the beautiful landscaping and festive atmosphere, though the immense popularity leads to significant crowds and limited parking during peak times. While generally well-organized, some find the facilities like port-a-loos less than ideal.
"Located at Wingecarribee Street, Bowral, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺
This is the location for the famous Tulip Festival that is held annually in September. Thousands of people come every year, it’s a massive draw for Bowral. It’s approximately a two hour drive from Sydney and makes for a great day. The Tulips 🌷 are always beautiful and it’s lovely to wander through the displays. There’s always some food stalls and also other stalls selling locally arts and other products. Can be a little pricey. Seating is very limited as it’s so popular and the seats can be taken very fast. Toilet 🚻 facilities are not the best, they are port-a-loo’s mainly and these get dirty very fast. There is very limited accessible toilets available. Parking 🅿️ as you imagine is extremely limited, first come, first serve basis and fills up very fast. It’s a ticketed event during the festival and probably better to buy tickets online.
Adults $18.50
Youths (13-17 years) $12.50
Concession $12.50
Children (Under 12) Free
It’s a great kids/family event and wheelchair 🦼 accessible. It’s wonderful to see both during the night and during the day and there’s always live performances of some type during the festival. Would definitely recommend visiting the festival at least once. Thumbs up!!! 👍👍👍"

"Corbett Garden is absolutely beautiful—every corner is filled with vibrant colors, perfect landscaping, and such a peaceful vibe. Everything felt well-organised, and the entry price of $18.90 is very reasonable for the experience.
The only downside is that even at 10am on a weekend, the park was already very crowded, which made it hard to fully enjoy the calm atmosphere. I’d recommend visiting on a weekday if possible to avoid the rush.
Overall, a wonderful place to soak in nature’s beauty—definitely worth a visit! 🌸🌼"

Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
To make the most of your family visit, aim for weekday mornings to avoid the peak crowds and meltdowns. Pack snacks and drinks, as festival food can be pricey and queues can be long. Consider bringing a picnic blanket for a relaxed break on the lawns. While the gardens are beautiful, remember that the primary focus is the flowers, so manage expectations for extensive play areas. 📸 Photography Enthusiasts
Experiment with different angles and perspectives. Look for leading lines in the pathways, use the surrounding foliage to frame your shots, or capture the reflections in any water features. While the festival is the main event, consider visiting outside of September for a more serene photographic experience, focusing on the garden's landscaping and other seasonal blooms. Be aware of any photography restrictions, especially for commercial shoots.

Photography Tips for Vibrant Blooms
When composing your shots, don't just focus on wide-angle views of the entire beds. Get creative with macro photography to capture the intricate details of individual tulip petals, dew drops, or the textures of the leaves. Look for interesting pathways that lead the eye through the floral displays, or use the surrounding greenery and trees as a natural frame. Reflections in any water features can also add a unique dimension to your photos.
While the festival is the main draw, remember that the gardens also feature other seasonal flowers and landscaping that are beautiful year-round. If you're visiting outside of September, you can still capture lovely images of the park's design and permanent flora. Always be mindful of other visitors and respect any designated 'no-go' areas to ensure everyone can enjoy the beauty of Corbett Gardens.
