"Really tranquil area with plenty of birds to see. Great water views and walkways were nice and easy to walk. Great for kids however still need to monitor them as there are some steep slopes."

"It's a bird watcher's paradise! If you're into bird watching, this is one of the places that you need to visit. We saw many fishing and water birds such as ducks, egrets, herons, lapwings and cormorants. Different rosella and parrot species, honey eaters, a wattle bird or two, and that's some that we saw. There could be more hiding that we couldn't see. There is a huge lake that's surrounded by trees and shrubs with a walking trail, which is nice and flat. At the entrance, there is a small park with decent toilet facilities as well before you drive further into a dirt parking lot a few hundred metres after the small park. There was only 1 car that was there when we arrived. So it's not very busy at all. We spent almost 2 hours there having lunch and exploring the lake before going home."

"Tranquil little spot for a walk if youre in the area and enjoy a walk or birdwatching.

Probably seasonal but there was a range of water fowl spotted from afar including a beautiful black swan.

Educational site for the kids with plenty of bird and historical site info for them (and I) to peruse through.

Watch out for the odd dog poo though..."
