However, some find the entry and parking fees steep for a national park, and the presence of numerous flies can be a nuisance.

"Excellent diverse range of hiking trails, from nice little hills, to beautiful walking along a river.

There is also a campground, excellent bbq facilities and tables overlooking the river.

Tons of roo's!!

You can see parts of the city from certain areas, and even the train line.

Gates close at 5pm sharp!
Entry fee applies or a parks pass.

Enjoy safely!"

"The place is located away from the city and the drive through swan valley is spectacular. Car parking is expensive 17 dollars (rather for a national park it should be free) and you will have ample parking space. There are different trails for various times you can pick the trail and explore the beautiful views of the park"

Mohammed Azeem

"How much do I like Walyunga? Well I'm here almost every weekend doing a trail. It's a great place for hiking, walking, running or having a picnic. Winter into spring is magnificent once the Avon has a good flow to it. Spring is full of blooms and abundant wildlife depending on the time of day.

Yes there's a fee to enter here and park but you also have to consider that you're not paying to use the barbecues. Also, if you have a National Parks Pass then access is free unless there's an event on like the Avon Descent.
It's a great place, the caretakers are friendly and the trails are excellent."
