What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the spectacular 360-degree panoramic views of the Glass House Mountains, especially during sunset, calling it a magical experience. While the short hike is steep and can be challenging, most agree the breathtaking reward at the top is well worth the effort. The free access and easy drive make it a popular, rewarding stop.
"This is one of those places that might not look like much on the map, but once you visit, you realise just how special it is. It’s a short hike only about 700 metres, but don’t let the distance fool you. The path is quite steep in some sections, so you’ll probably break a sweat on the way up. Take your time though, because the reward at the top is absolutely worth every step. The best time to come here is definitely in the late afternoon, around 5 pm onwards. That’s when the sun isn’t as hot, the walk feels more pleasant, and the landscape really comes to life. As you reach the top, you’re greeted with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Glass House Mountains and the Sunshine Coast hinterland. If you’re a fan of sunsets, this spot is truly magical watching the sun dip behind the peaks is a moment you won’t forget.
One thing to note: there are no public toilets here, so make sure to plan ahead before you arrive. Also, bring a bottle of water, especially on warm days. Despite those minor inconveniences, this lookout is such a great little adventure that’s perfect for a quick stop on a road trip or an afternoon outing."

"Not a long walk ~10-15min but pretty steep. I have a rotated hip and was definitely feeling it. Beautiful views of Bris, SC, Glasshouse and the pine forests once at the top and lots of information panels. Even saw an actual wild horse so that was pretty cool."
Emah Roper
"Great little walk. Very steep, but manageable and offers some shade on the way up. Definitely worth it for the spectacular views. Never mind the hideous infrastructure attached to the lookout building."
