Reviews Summary
Coolangatta Estate is lauded for its beautiful historic grounds, knowledgeable and friendly cellar door staff, and the quality of its wines, often described as a fabulous place to visit. However, some visitors have encountered issues with lukewarm food and perceived disengaged or hostile service from staff, alongside difficulties with booking cancellations.
"A beautiful location with friendly, helpful staff welcoming visitors to their cellar door. The wine tasting with Liam and Brenton was fabulous. They were knowledgeable about the wines and how they were produced and happy to share stories about the beautiful Coolangatta Estate. Everything we tried was delicious and the prices were very reasonable for great wine. I look forward to going back soon and highly recommend to people visiting the south coast."

"Beautiful spot - lovely to walk around the grounds and see the history of the convicts village before doing the excellent tasting. We spent an age chatting with the ever engaging Liam - was impressively knowledgeable about the wine but also had great stories as he is part of the family who restored the site. Def recommend a visit"

"My wife and I booked accommodation at Coolangatta Estate for a friend’s wedding on 12–13 September. Unfortunately, we both contracted COVID before the trip and were bedridden. We notified the venue to cancel our booking but initially received no response.
In good faith, we even shifted our dates so the venue could rebook our room for the busy wedding weekend. The venue thanked us for doing so but still refused to process a cancellation. Despite repeated requests, our cancellation has now been denied outright.
This experience has been deeply disappointing and shows a lack of compassion. Visitors and front line veterans alike should be aware of how this venue treats its guests.
Edit: Thanks for your heartless response, enjoy $380.70 on us. You are despicable."
