What an absolute dream! ✨ The water was close to 2 metres deep in the centre! This is Shoal Cape, it’s located in Stokes National Park, 90km from Esperance. It’s accessible via a 4WD-only track and has a small campground with around 3 tent sites. If it’s full, Fanny Cove is nearby. We towed our 22ft van into Fanny Cove from Quagi Beach; the 19km track took over an hour! Expect some soft sand t...

Check out the beautiful Rosenberg's Monitor (Varanus rosenbergi) that wandered up to me as I took a short bushwalk on the trail at Stokes Inlet in Stokes National Park. It's on the coast west of Esperance and makes a great short stop if you are road-tripping down this way 👍 There's a campground too if time permits These large goannas are found across southern Australia but are particularly commo...

"I really liked being here, it was my second time out but first time going fishing on the water . Great spot to just hang out and day camp. Great for fishing and getting some beautiful nature shots. Kids loved fishing and caught a good few. Highly recommend.
Toilets are longdrops but clean, and well maintained. The outdoor kitchens and bbq were clean and well maintained and the information on the walls about stokes inlet was a great information session and short read to gather some indepth information on how stokes came about."

Cindi Lei

"Camp Hosts are keeping the sites immaculate - removing any rubbish and raking each area! There are drop toilets, bins, undercover bbqs with tables. Around 12 sites. Easy access down to the estuary. Another hidden gem!"
