"We dropped into 41 South to buy a few things before heading to Meander Valley Vineyard for our lunch reservation. We did a walk of the salmon farm, fed the fish (and ducks) and checked out the waterfall and soon realised we really needed to spend more time. So while grazing at lunch we changed our camping plans for the night and instead booked at Camp 41. What a great decision that turned out to be. A hidden gem of a spot by a billabong in what was like an amphitheater of bird life, frogs and the occasional cow off in the distance. Then we had the great fortune of being visited and welcomed by Ziggy the owner. While we were envious of how lucky he and his family are to live in such a magic spot, while providing such ethical and quality produce, we soon discovered it was not luck but more vision and hard work. An inspiring story and such a lovely, warm and humorous man. After a peaceful nights sleep in nature, in the morning we enjoyed a short walk to the cafe for great coffee before making the short drive back home to Launceston. We will definitely be regulars to Camp 41 but in future will be enjoying a long lunch at their cafe instead. The best Salmon (and Ginsing products) in Tassie by far!!"
