El Questro Wilderness Park was an absolute highlight on the Gibb and easily accessible from Kununurra with sealed roads to the turnoff, and only 17km of unsealed driveway. Awesome. #elquestro #gibbriverroad

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise El Questro for its stunning natural beauty, particularly Zebedee Springs and the gorges, and the friendly, welcoming staff who enhance the experience. The park offers a true wilderness escape with diverse activities. However, some find it quite expensive for what's offered, with inconsistent shower temperatures and a perceived loss of historical charm since new management.

"This is the review I’ve genuinely been looking forward to writing! My wife and I arrived late on a Saturday night, and on our way in we emailed to confirm where our campsite would be. Even though it was after hours, the team still replied promptly and helpfully — such a great first impression.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel right at home. Every morning, staff came around to check in and have a friendly chat, which really added to the experience. We were the last two guests before the end of the season, yet nothing was overlooked — the amenities remained spotless, the camp kitchen was well-equipped and convenient, and the staff were full of local knowledge and great recommendations on where to go and what to see.

The station is located perfectly within the gorges that are around giving you a little adventure in the car before you set off on your hike. The 4WD tracks and thrilling and scenic, and you must go to pigeon hole for sunset! We even got to see a croc down in the river! Ensure you allow time to check these tracks out!

Wildlife wandering through in the evenings made it all the more special. We only wish we’d come earlier so we could have stayed longer. Thank you to the entire team for such a welcoming and memorable stay, we hope you enjoy your off season!"

"Camped for 3 nights with family. End of the season so quiet at El Questro. Wonderful place to visit and stay. 3 nights wasn't long enough to see everything. Amalia gorge is a fantastic hike with a lovely swimming hole at the end. Zebedee springs is an easy walk with beautiful hot springs to relax in. Campsite is clean and well organised, clean amenities, card and coin operated washing machines. Nice bar, friendly service, small shop mostly stocking merch but some essentials. The steakhouse restaurant is lovely with great food."

Ashlie Pearce-Mole

"Fantastic station, beautifully maintained, lots of things to do. Great 4wd tracks, hiking trails, campsites, restaurant even with a vegan option, bar, helicopter rides. Highly recommend if you're travelling the Gibb or even if you're just driving between Kununurra and Wyndham."
