Reviews Summary
Smith Reserve is a well-loved local park, praised for its dog-friendly atmosphere and fenced children's playground. While some find the grassy areas could use a bit more upkeep, its convenient location next to Fitzroy Pool and the vibrant Smith Street makes it a valuable green space for the community. It offers a peaceful escape despite its proximity to a busy road.
"Nice Park in the middle of the hustle bustle. Fenced off children's playground (no dogs permitted in playground area) The rest of the park is dog friendly but no off lead area. There is also a BBQ spot with seating (not undercover)
A short walk to the swimming pool and also local trendy / interesting / quirky bars, cafes and shops."

"Well loved local park for locals to come, enjoy, and walk their canine companions.
Dog friendly park in Fitzroy !!! We come here everyday as a quiet little corner of the world where our dog can go off lead and run around. For dog socialisation - there's nothing formal available here, but most people come to the park with their dogs between 4 and 6.30 to socialise them if that's what you're looking for. Only 4 out of 5 stars as this park doesn't have a fence... Which makes it a little less than ideal for dogs who are more curious than can be good for them at times... But hey so far so good and it works really well and is a well loved local park for locals to come, enjoy, and walk their canine companions.
If you're not necessarily local and are looking for a bigger and better and busier park with more Activites - check out Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy North."
