Reviews Summary

While the bridge itself is impressive and offers scenic views, some travelers struggle with finding proper access, with Google Maps often leading them astray. "What a nice surprise while exploring the area. We saw the bridge but it was quite confused at how to access. Google map kept pointing us to private property or dead end! Finally, after running back and forth a few times, we found a good place to park and enter the trail at its 8km signpost. Very lovely walk to the bridge and over to the other end 🥰"

"A magical part of the Vic High Country history with the bridge restored as part of the Vic High Country rail trail, you can once again cross the Hume Dam here. 26km from Wodonga by bike, or a 1km walk-in from the Tallangatta side, there is also the longer walk/ride from Huon Reserve. It’s well worth stopping by to enjoy this part of the local history."

"Sandy Creek Bridge is an experience to remember, it used to be an old rail road bridge which has been converted into a walking/bike trail. One tip is it does got quite windy out in the middle as there is nothing to stop it, it is also quite a long bridge so it's a bit of a walk for one side to the other about 10-15 minutes with little kids."
