What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Snowy Region Visitor Centre offers a wealth of information and resources for exploring the Snowy Mountains, with many praising the helpful staff and detailed exhibits like the mountain models. However, some visitors have reported negative experiences with unhelpful or rude staff, which detracts from the otherwise modern and well-equipped facility.
"I called in to vistor centre twice during my stay for information on the Summit Walk & a yearly pass. The staff were brilliant - friendly & eager to provide fantastic service. Kim at the park entry gate was also great. Many thanks again !"
Neil Plevey
"This is such a good information centre. Very big and therefore has so much to offer inside.
There are walls full of plenty of information brochures, as well as a very wide range of souvenirs as well as little gadgets etc.
Staff here are more than willing to help you out with anything you may need.
The models of the mountains near the entrance are really quite amazing and very well done.
Plenty of information regarding the history and the significance of Snowy River which is defiantly another interesting part.
Overall it was a great experience and will hopefully return again!"
Sarah Peterson
"(If I could give zero stars, I would.)
The staff here are rude, unhelpful, and annoyed at having to leave their computer screens where they seemed to be “busy.” I only needed some very basic information and it was incredibly hard to get any assistance at all.
It’s a real shame, because the building itself is modern and clearly a lot of money has been invested in the centre. Sadly, the customer service does not match the facility — it lets the whole place down.
I hope management invests in training so visitors actually feel welcome and manage to obtain information!"
