Reviews Summary
Killarney Beach is praised as a beautiful, quiet, and relaxing spot perfect for walks and exploring rockpools. Visitors appreciate its natural beauty and the opportunity for bird photography. However, some note the presence of seaweed and advise caution with boat launches due to choppy waters.
"A beautiful beach. Quiet and good place for a walk and explore along the beach. Please be very careful of the birds on the beach here. We are lucky to have here visiting sanderlings, red stints, hooded plovers that breed here as well as red capped plover having rheir young here also.
If you like bird photography, you'll get some great shots here of diving terns too, with a few varieties that sit over on the rock shelf off the beach. Also, when tide is half out (to ensure the birds have space) lie in the sand and keep still with your camera and the birds will come closer and youll get some really good photos.
Also, if you are fortunate enough to get out on the ocean here you may see a very great variety of pelagics birds too.
Hope you enjoy, but please be respectful."
