"Campaspe River Walk - A Must-Visit Kyneton Gem!
The Campaspe River Walk is an absolute delight and a perfect way to spend some time in Kyneton. The trail is well-maintained and offers a beautiful, peaceful escape right near town. It's also very close to the train station (we caught a vline train from Melbourne which was very cheap on the weekend).
The scenery is fantastic, especially the majestic, mature trees along the path which provide wonderful shade and a stunning sense of atmosphere. The path is easy and suitable for all ages and fitness levels. There is a picnic area.
Wildlife spotting was a major highlight! We were thrilled to see a vibrant Crimson Rosella perched in the branches, adding a brilliant splash of color to the greens and browns of the riverbank. It’s clearly a great spot for birdwatchers.
Whether you're looking for a peaceful walk, a picnic spot, or a chance to capture some beautiful nature photos, I highly recommend this walk! Bring your camera and keep an eye out for the local birds."

"Sure! Here's a possible review you can post about the Campaspe River spot, incorporating your experience and tying in Google Earth in a natural way:
Peaceful Riverside Spot – Perfect for a Picnic
We visited the Campaspe River around 3 PM and stayed until sunset. It was a beautiful, peaceful experience. There are two picnic benches under large, shady trees – ideal for relaxing and enjoying a meal.
We saw a few people walking their dogs, some on leashes and some off, which added to the friendly, relaxed vibe. There’s a small outdoor exercise area with a few Jin electric machines just a few meters from the river, which is a nice touch for a quick workout.
Although the washrooms are a bit of a walk (around 1.5 km away, as indicated), it wasn’t too inconvenient. A few nearby residential homes have their backyards opening toward the river path, but it’s still very quiet and not noisy at all.
Using Google Earth beforehand really helped us get a sense of the area and plan where to park and set up our picnic. I’d definitely recommend this spot for a calm afternoon by the river."

"Summer afternoon. Saturday. Many walkers and friendly dogs. Cars parked under trees. But nice and peaceful. Usually a start or end point to a walk along the river in either direction. One direction to Piper street and the racecourse area parks. The other will take you to the Kyneton Botanical Gardens (and eventually the railway station up the hill from there). Nice riverside seats for those that just want to bring a coffee or picnic and watch others exercise. Peaceful quiet area. Outdoor gym type area also part of this park. No toilets. But bins and information boards."
