Reviews Summary

Moore Reef is widely praised for its vibrant coral and abundant marine life, with many visitors highlighting the family-friendly activities like the waterslide. While some reviews mention concerns about overcrowding impacting the experience, the reef itself is noted for its resilience and recovery. Overall, it's considered a highlight for many visiting Cairns.

"I wasn’t sure what to expect before joining the Sunlover Reef Cruises, but Moore Reef is still very much in tact with no coral bleaching as of April 2024. There’s a large variety of both soft and hard corals, with lots of different fish and turtles if you are lucky. The glass boat is a good way to see corals if you don’t want to go into the water, but the most immersive experience is still snorkelling, I can spend hours in there. There’s no need to scuba dive as you won’t see any more than snorkelling as the max depth here is only 6-7m, and you can’t just stop where you want with an intro dive. It is however a very safe intro dive if you’ve never experienced scuba diving before.

The best time is probably around mid April as I was told that Cairns would be packed two weeks later (late April to early May)."

James Zhuo

"This was the highlight of our trip to Cairns. Even though weather wasnt the greatest had an awesome day. Most activities are free unlike the other tours."

Anthony IAMTHEONE

"Lots of fishes around, definitely worthwhile to visit the reef for a nice snorkeling or scuba diving experience!"
