On Sunday, September 7th, 2025, the parish of St. James gathered at St. John The Baptist Anglican Church for a soul-stirring We Gatherin’ Church Service. Reverend Wayne McD. Kirton delivered a powerful sermon with messages that touched on the pressing issue of elder abuse and why it must be denounced by all of society. #WeGatherin #StJames #CommunitySpirit #FaithAndCulture #RespectOurElders

Visitors consistently praise the welcoming atmosphere and the beauty of the church buildings. The monthly markets are a significant draw, offering a vibrant community experience with local produce and crafts. While the architecture is a highlight, some may find services to be traditional.

"This has been such a wonderful church at attended while staying in Mudgee. It’s a beautiful building with lovely people inside who are welcoming and encouraging! The pastor here Tim leads two great services that encourage and help to grow your faith. A more traditional in the morning and a more contemporary in late morning. Both are very enjoyable and help me to reflect on my walk with Christ. Thank you again!!"
