What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Tom Groggin's stunning riverside camping, complete with fire pits and picnic tables, and the delightful presence of numerous kangaroos. The clean toilets and proximity to Thredbo are also major pluses. Some find the daytime flies bothersome, and the lack of potable water requires careful planning.
"An absolute beaut of a place. We were able to camp right along the Murray, with a fire pit and picnic table (both provided). The toilets a short distance away and were so clean and well maintained. You do need to have your own water as there was no sink to wash hands. So many kangaroos the kids loved watching them. The only issue we had were the amount of flies during the day but once it got darker they werenβt an issues whatsoever. Definitely going back there again!"

"This campsite is around 30 minutes away from Thredbo, making it far enough to not get any snows but still close enough to make daily trips to Thredbo. It is also right next to the Murray making it ideal for those who like to fish.
Plenty of sites with fire pits, however in the winter some sights maybe closed for regeneration. Only drop toilets available."
