What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Outer Harbor Passenger Terminal functional and appreciate its convenient train station access to Adelaide CBD. While the staff and volunteers are generally friendly, the terminal can feel basic, and post-cruise logistics, particularly ride-share pick-ups, can be challenging with long waits and distances to travel.
"We have arrived at this passenger terminal many times.
Always welcomed by friendly staff and volunteers who make sure you have all the information you require.
Adelaidians are very lucky to have such an efficient cruise terminal relatively close to the city.
There is a train station directly across the road. There is also a huge car park if you want to be dropped off close to your ship.
There are shops and food places within a 20 minute walk.
The occasional dolphin can also be seen when in this area.
Here are some photos of the cruise terminal and surrounds..."

"Port Adelaide was positively our Worst experience in the Whole Two Weeks of our Cruise and Holidays. After Disembarking the Cruise there was absolutely no help to guide you out of the terminal except for some volunteers who told you where you needed to wait before being picked up. We waited a whole hour while trying to book Ubers along with probably about 150 to 200 others with only a few being successful.
In the end we had to lug our luggage nearly 30 minutes around the huge barrier fences around the Terminals which rather than provided you with safety felt more like you were being kept away from the Fremantle Area."
Bob Wright
"Is normal terminal but very far from everything. Good thing is that train station is just behind and you can take train for Adelaide"
