"Granite Skywalk – Castle Rock, Porongurup National Park
We recently visited the Granite Skywalk at Castle Rock and it was absolutely worth it! The hike itself was enjoyable, with beautiful bushland and plenty of spots to take a breather along the way. The final climb to the skywalk was a bit challenging, but once you reach the top the views are just incredible – honestly one of the best I’ve ever seen in WA. The lookout gives you a full panoramic view over the Porongurup Range, Stirling Ranges, and beyond.
If you’re in the Albany or Denmark region, this is definitely a must-do. A bit of effort to get up there, but the reward at the top is next level. Highly recommended!"

"Pretty easy climb. Lots of kangaroos at the start. Do have to scramble up some rocks to get to the top but they have holds so it's pretty easy. Definitely recommend. Beautiful views"

"This place is incredibly beautiful!
I didn’t do enough research before visiting the Granite Skywalk — I thought it was just another easy lookout you could reach by walking a few metres. Turns out, it’s a serious hike! The trail was much steeper than I expected, and I literally had to climb over big rocks to reach the summit. It was a tough but rewarding climb. When I finally made it to the top, the view was absolutely breathtaking.
The platform is built around a massive rock, and from there, you get nearly a 180-degree panoramic view of the Porongurup National Park. It’s truly an unforgettable spot. I’m glad I did it, but next time I visit, I’ll definitely come more prepared for the hike!"
