Somewhere off K’gari, 2018. The sun burned over the Strait. Thousands of tiny crabs shimmered like living sand. A lone dingo crossed the flats — silent, untamed. We stopped the boat and the world stood still. #Kgari #FraserIsland #SailingLife #Dingo #Australia

Reviews Summary

The River Heads K'gari Ferries are generally praised for their punctuality and the friendly, helpful nature of their staff, making the journey to K'gari a pleasant experience. However, a significant concern for visitors is the potential for hefty fines related to vehicle regulations, particularly for hire vehicles with rooftop tents, which can lead to frustration if not clearly communicated beforehand.

"We did a fabulous two day tour with Blair from Auckland with SeaLink. K’gari has so much natural beauty and the tour allowed us to sit back and get taken to the best spots. It was mix of adventure hiking and four wheel driving rather hairy roads with an expert driver who knew the island and relaxing in Champagne pools, McKenzie lake, floating down a creek and enjoying the resort pool. The tour numbers were small so we enjoyed the company of people from all over the world. Blair gave us lots of interesting info about the history of the island and made us aware of the local rules to keep us and the island safe. So many great memories thanks for this really unique experience."
