Visitors rave about Sandgate Foreshore as a beautiful and peaceful bayside escape, perfect for leisurely walks, picnics, and dog outings. The stunning bay views, especially from Shorncliffe Pier, and the well-equipped foreshore facilities are frequently praised. While generally safe and enjoyable, checking tide times is essential for beach access, and parking can be challenging during peak sunset hours.
"One of my doggo's all time favourite places for an outing. There is a large 'off leash' section of beach for them to run, swim, bark at waves and socialise. Worth checking the tides or you run the risk of doggo disappointment as there is no sand to run on at high tide. The walk along the foreshore is stunning, with plenty of water fountains, seating and public toilets available along the way."

"Met up with a mate here for a casual walk. The foreshore is peaceful, with views that are better when the tide’s in. Saw a few pelicans which was nice. There’s a bike track running along the water, so it’s good for cycling too. The breeze was a bit strong in spots, but it kept things cool."
