Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Alexandra Suspension Bridge as an iconic and picturesque landmark within the stunning Cataract Gorge. The breathtaking views and the historic nature of the bridge are major highlights. However, potential visitors should be aware of ongoing restoration work that may affect access.

"The Alexandra Suspension Bridge is an iconic landmark within the Cataract Gorge and popular attraction for visitors. It was constructed in 1904 and had two major reconstructions in 1934 and 2004. The bridge is currently undergoing restoration efforts again during early 2025 when we visited the Gorge.

Thus, while we were unable to walk across the bridge you can still enjoy seeing the historic structure while spending time in the gorge and river grounds nearby. Seems restorations are supposed to wrap up in May 2025 so the bridge should be reopening to the public soon."

Brad
